December Activities

Merry Christmas!
I've been busy multi-tasking between author duties and non-author duties. I'm sure many of you can relate to the busyness around the Christmas and New Year holidays.
Author duties revolved around my current works in progress: Bourbon Neat and the challenge story now destined to be a short story (maybe.) Talk about multi-tasking! I've been focused on the latter since I'm unsure when my publisher's need for short stories will end. If they no longer need short stories, I plan to expand it to a novella or novel length.
I'm toying with an idea for the title hinging on past regrets. Why regrets? Because each main character regrets not acting on their desires from years before. They must consider whether it's not too late to act or do they double down on regrets. The titles whirling in my head right now are Resolved Regrets or Conquered Regrets or No More Regrets. What do you think?
Other author duties included writing this newsletter, writing a December Blog post, and creating future Facebook posts/reels.
Non-author duties focused on sending out Christmas cards to family and friends. That involved writing our annual Christmas letter. Yup, I can't get away from writing.
Even though my focus has been on the challenge story, I've been thinking of Connor and Maggie of Bourbon Neat. I want to add more romance or romantic tension to their story. And while I lay in bed waiting to fall asleep, I work out possible scenes in my head. Don't worry, I remember them when I wake up in the morning.
Plus I should be thinking of my next project. Who are my characters? What is their story? However, while I'm re-reading the Consequential Love Series, the desire to write additional Garrett and Leigh stories ignites within me. Quite the quandary!!
I hope you enjoy this Christmas and New Year's season!
You keep on reading, and I'll keep on writing.
